"I would give the greatest sunset in the world for one sight of New York's skyline." - Ayn Rand
Every time I photograph the skyline of NYC, an amazing quote that I have heard in the past always comes to mind that makes me realize even more how Iconic this city really is. The Brooklyn Bridge is among the most famous pieces of History in New York City and while looking through my portfolio recently, I could not believe that I have never showcased this world famous bridge. I was very lucky one evening when I decided to walk across the Manhattan Bridge so I can photograph this popular view. The sun sets right in front of you and behind the skyline making it truly a sight to behold.
I was in the same spot for about 3 hours so of course New Yorkers would pass by and have some curiosity. I had to explain a few times that I was not doing a timelapse. A couple others asked me to exchange Instagram accounts which I was happy to do. And one person stuck around a few minutes and asked for some pointers which I was also glad to help her out with. If you are in town, I recommend you walk across the Brooklyn Bridge or go to Brooklyn Bridge Park and enjoy the spectacular views. You will never forget it.
Hope you all enjoy this shot and have a great weekend!
